This latest product from SkillsEdge is as a result of collaboration with BPTG, with whom we have jointly produced and refined a straightforward yet sophisticated means of measuring the knowledge base of a business professional.
Structure of The Business Analysis Capability Assessment (BCA)
There are 47 questions covering business analysis issues. The categories covered by BCA fall into 10 distinct categories:
BCA has been designed, as with our other Knowledge Assessment products, to take a snapshot of knowledge in those sections mentioned above.
As part of the assessment process, there is the facility to provide the participant's self-assessment of the importance of each of the above sections together with an estimate of the participant's knowledge in each section. This self-assessment is taken into account in arriving at the final evaluation.
The assessment takes 60 minutes to complete although further time can be allowed if required, up to a maximum of eighty minutes.
The range of job types for which BCA has been designed are Business Analyst at any level, Business Process Analyst, Business Change Analyst, BA/Project Manager, Internal Consultant and BA Line Management.
A very important aspect of BCA is that is aligned with currently available training programmes which facilitates the capability of producing relevant net Training Needs Analyses and, again, in common with other SkillsEdge products, makes a significant contribution to reducing training costs by pin-pointing specific areas for improvement based upon requirements of the participant's current and known future assignments.
When you have used BCA for your selection process don’t forget our partner BPTGroup – at www.bptg.org you will find their “Core Skills in Business Analysis and Process Design” accredited programme meets your training and development requirements.
